Barn in Black

This project combines a pre-engineered metal barn and an attached wood stud residence into a cohesive modern composition. The barn’s black-on-black exterior creates a bold, sculptural presence, while the residence’s gray metal panels provide subtle contrast. Designed for both storage and social gatherings, the barn also includes a second-floor office overlooking the property. Mustard Architects designed the architecture and interiors, balancing the structure’s durable, industrial character with warm, refined finishes that bring a sense of comfort and continuity throughout.
