  • When Eric was a teenager, his mother asked him to fit her new collection of china into a buffet cabinet. He embraced the challenge and today equates the enjoyment of that task to the puzzle of neatly fitting rooms into an architectural structure. Eric received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Texas in 1983. In his senior year, he was hired by the Texas Historical Commission as an architectural consultant with the state-sponsored Main Street Project, assisting small Texas towns in restoring their historic downtown buildings. This influenced Eric’s decision to relocate to the small town of Fredericksburg where he married, started a family and continued to work for a local architectural firm. In 1993, he went off on his own and founded Mustard Architects.

  • In 9th grade, Whitney drew a suspension bridge for her high school art class. Her meticulous attention to detail was apparent in her work. Her family noticed her ability to solve intricate problems and encouraged her to pursue her interest in engineering. In college, Whitney realized that her bent was more towards architecture because it encompassed design in addition to technical problem-solving. She received her Bachelor of Architecture degree in 2006, and a Master of Architecture degree with a Certificate in Historic Preservation in 2008, from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Whitney worked in San Antonio specializing in Historic Preservation and Civic-related projects. Her passion for finding creative solutions to tough problems propels her designs whether she's working with an existing structure or a new design. She moved to Fredericksburg to start her family and began working at Mustard Architects in 2008. She became a partner in 2022.

  • Andy’s interest in architecture was sparked as early as 4th grade, when he watched his parents work with an architect to develop house plans. In his first year at Texas A&M, Andy recalls encountering some of the great works of architectural design and his eyes were forever opened. He then recognized the importance of designing with emotion and how good design can influence a person in a positive way. Andy went on to receive his Bachelor of Environmental Design from Texas A&M University in 1995. His career began in Dallas where he worked with retail developments, institutional clients, and web based project management. In search of a quieter life, Andy and his young family moved to Fredericksburg in 2005 when he joined Eric and helped expand the firm in commercial developments. Andy is currently a partner and is grateful for diverse project types and strong client relationships.

  • Brad had an early interest in industrial and automotive design and discovered the Architecture program at A&M while researching different design programs. A&M's environmental design program was a pathway to get to other design trades. He enjoyed the architecture side and proceeded to get his Master's degree after working in private practice for a couple of years. Brad joined Mustard Architects in 2014. His experience includes single and multi-family residences, historic preservation, senior living facilities, and various commercial projects including hospitality. He enjoys exploring classical and traditional design languages and translating that into contemporary architecture. Brad was born in College Station, TX and lived in Dallas before moving to Fredericksburg and joining Mustard Architects. He is able to use his digital visualization skills to communicate designs to clients and design teams. He enjoys helping his associates at the office assisting them with different design softwares.

He is often found cooking or barbecuing on the weekends. He enjoys creating in the kitchen...it's another form of design. He enjoys finding new music. He will have music playing in the background while he is working on creating something new. He enjoys day-tripping to find a new restaurant or a good hike. On the weekends, He will be spending time with his son on the soccer fields or building Lego creations.

  • Born and raised in Hunt, Texas, Mitchell developed an early appreciation for the relationship between people, place, and design. That passion led him to College Station, where he earned a Master of Architecture from Texas A&M University in 2015. Shortly after graduating, he relocated to Dallas to work on a range of large-scale and regional commercial architecture projects—many within the aviation sector. These projects encompassed a diverse array of airport-related spaces—including office areas, premium airline lounges, terminal shell and core components, and fire stations—providing him with a comprehensive foundation in designing complex, multidisciplinary environments.

With over 10 years of experience in the field, Mitchell made the move back to his home area in early 2025 and will continue and expand on his career as a Project Manager with Mustard Architects.  Outside the office, Mitchell and his wife Alie both enjoy spending time with their families that live in the area while also exploring the surrounding Hill Country and it’s beautiful Guadalupe River.

  • Cassidy is from Dripping Springs, Texas. She received her Bachelors degree in Architecture from Texas Tech University and is on her way to receiving her licensing. From early on, Cassidy possessed a combined talent and passion for art and mathematics. She also grew up around tradesmen in the construction industry. This background led her to studying architecture. Cassidy appreciates how a well-designed structure can create a specific mood from the moment you enter. She particularly enjoys residential projects because it gives her the opportunity to not just design a house but rather a home. When not at work, Cassidy finds refreshment in being outdoors. She continues to pursue her interests in agriculture, hunting, fishing, and wildlife conservation. She also enjoys cooking and drawing.

  • Born and raised in Tehran, Iran, Mina studied Architecture before moving to Mexico, where she worked for architecture firms in Mexico City for a couple of years. She relocated to the Texas Hill Country in 2021 and joined Mustard Architects in 2022. As a Project Coordinator, Mina works primarily on residential projects and is increasingly interested in gaining more experience with public buildings and the challenges they present. Outside the office, Mina enjoys spending time outdoors and staying active. Her interests include running, swimming, beekeeping, reading, painting, and playing music.

  • Elizabeth was born in San Miguel de Allende. Nestled in the central highlands of Mexico, San Miguel is renowned for its Baroque Spanish Architecture and flavorful cuisine. She attributes her love of design and architecture to her early exposure to the unique beauty of her birthplace. Eventually, Elizabeth and her family moved to Fredericksburg where she graduated from Fredericksburg High School. She then worked over 20 years in the hospitality industry. Today she brings her experience in customer relations and her passion for architecture to her work at Mustard Architects.

When not at work, Elizabeth enjoys spending time with family, cooking, gardening and supporting the Texas wine industry with close friends. She also gives her time as a board member of Zonta International Fredericksburg—a leading global organization of individuals working together to build a better world for women and girls.

  • Sarah Wylie was born in Austin, Texas and raised in Fredericksburg, where her first job at Red Stallion Jewelry on Main Street gave her an early appreciation for the charm and colorful character of the local community. After graduating from FHS, she headed to Angelo State University to study Education and Theater Arts: a pairing that explains both her love of people and her tendency to bring a little personality (and maybe some theatrics) into everything she does. Before joining Mustard Architects, Sarah managed a local hair salon, where she became well-versed in the art of conversation, connection, and keeping things running smoothly, skills she now brings with her every day. She moved back to Fredericksburg during the height of the COVID lockdowns and has been happily re-rooted ever since, grateful to once again call the town that raised her “home” (and to know at least one familiar face almost everywhere she goes).

Outside the office, Sarah keeps busy with her teenage daughter, her three-legged dog Rocco, and her cat Pancake. She loves thrifting, trying new foods, and traveling with her favorite people: her twin brother, boyfriend, and daughter. She finds joy and purpose in volunteering on stage and off with the Fredericksburg Theater Company, a non-profit that seeks to make theater arts accessible to all members of the local community and produce high quality theatrical experiences.
